About ME
My passion as a counselor is two-fold: to walk alongside couples who feel emotionally distant and distressed in their relationships on the path toward connection and healing, and to journey with women who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, conflict resolution, and other relational issues.
I began my career as an attorney, and worked for 11 years in the legal industry before entering the counseling field. My background as an attorney has afforded me a unique perspective regarding the struggles many professionals face both individually and in relationships. I have had the opportunity to speak with many attorney groups regarding emotional wellness, and I understand the challenges that accompany a demanding career.
My counseling practice is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment based modality that has been validated by a substantial body of research. Specifically, studies have shown that 70-75% of couples participating in EFT move from distress to recovery, and approximately 90% of couples experience significant improvements. I feel strongly that helping a couple to access one another can change their lives, their families, and the world around them.
